Homemade Dumplings

Creates approximately 15-18 dumplings.
Dumplings: 9 Oz of flour, 1/2 cup warm water, 1/2 tsp salt

Fillings: Finely chop & mix the following: about 1/5 lb ground turkey, 1/4 carrot, 2 green onions, 3 cloves garlic, dill, basil, 1 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tbsp soy sauce.

Combine flour & salt into a bowl & slowly add water. Mix together in bowl until all flour is off the sides. Take dough out of bowl & place onto flour covered surface. Knead for about 5 minutes or until there are no chunks. Put dough back in bowl & cover tightly. Place in fridge for 1 hour.
I made my dumpling guts while I waited (hehe).

After the hour, put one hole in the center of your dough. Spread the hole out until your create a 1 inch ring around. Cut the ring into 1 inch balls. Roll these out & add your fillings. Once sealed, place in boiling chicken broth. (I also add pepper, paprika, sliced onions, carrots, & garlic to the broth for more flavor!)
